2010s
In the most recent decade WGBH Radio purchased Boston’s commercial classical station, and I was uniquely poised to transition our single multiformat station into two new single format stations. One all classical, one news and talk.
2012-2013
Produced Innovation Hub in its early days with Executive Editor and Host Kara Miller.
Helped shape and develop the show from its early conception to national launch.
2015
Promoted from Senior Radio Producer to Radio Creative Manager.
Led and grew the on-air promotion and traffic team for WGBH’s three radio properties, WGBH, WCRB and WCAI.
Shaped the station imaging and on air sound for the two Boston based stations.
2000s
Created and completed my own Master of Independent Study degree at Lesley University.
Documenting Life through Theory, Writing and Video. Produced a video documentary called Mother Church about my relationship with my mother.

Five, 10-minute radio segments documenting five teen-agers experiences in high school. Part of WGBH's larger Eye on Education initiative.

Classroom Voices: Teen and Teacher Radio Diaries, WGBH-FM
Produced five, 10-minute radio segments documenting two teen-agers and one first year teacher high school experiences. Supervised production of Spanish language radio diaries. Part of WGBH's Eye on Education initiative.

Forty-six part short form feature series for WGBH's Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Features about classical music education, performance, history and contemporary culture, around classical music in Massachusetts.
And one of my interviewees, recommended me to a super exciting opportunity. To teach audio production at the Banff Centre, in Banff, Canada. After which I was invited back for a second year when the program was renewed.

1990s
BA Northeastern University with Music Major & Philosophy Minor
Co-op job (AKA a Northeastern style paid internship) at WGBH Radio.
Answered phones and sorted mail; became a production assistant for a nightly live classical music show, met musicians, sat in on sound checks, and directed the live performances, coiled cables
Graduated and landed a full-time position as WGBH Radio’s On Air Promotion Producer.

Four radio segments that promoted and highlighted topics from the four PBS episodes of Africans in America.

1980s
Made it through an audition to perform in the special District Chorus in Worcester County.
Wrote a novel in my bedroom on my mother’s typewriter. Never finished it because I stumped myself on the ending.
Constantly listened to rock (now known as classic rock) on WAAF.
Discovered that the clean clear sound of another radio station while spinning the dial..., WCRB, playing something called Classical Music, I became secretly drawn to.
1970s
Was given a tape recorder for my 6th birthday and interviewed every family member at that Thanksgiving’s family gathering.
Tuned in to Kasey Kasem’s top 40 countdown on the radio every Sunday morning with my Dad.
