2010s

In the most recent decade WGBH Radio purchased Boston’s commercial classical station, and I was uniquely poised to transition our single multiformat station into two new single format stations. One all classical, one news and talk.

1980s

Made it through an audition to perform in the special District Chorus in Worcester County.

Wrote a novel in my bedroom on my mother’s typewriter. Never finished it because I stumped myself on the ending.

Constantly listened to rock (now known as classic rock) on WAAF.

Discovered that the clean clear sound of another radio station while spinning the dial..., WCRB, playing something called Classical Music, I became secretly drawn to.

1970s

Was given a tape recorder for my 6th birthday and interviewed every family member at that Thanksgiving’s family gathering.

Tuned in to Kasey Kasem’s top 40 countdown on the radio every Sunday morning with my Dad.
