While many memoir writers know the curative effect of putting your story onto the page and into the world, Peggy also addresses the deeper (and unanticipated) effect that came from also reading her book aloud for this author-narrated audiobook… the very best kind, according to Michelle Redo, whose indie audiobook production operation, Flying Pig Audio, exists to do help memoirists do exactly that! They’ll discuss some of the logistical stuff you may be curious about, but more so the emotional impact of adding the dimension of voice to your words.
What I Do:
I help you record your memoir in your own voice as a professionally produced audiobook.
I love working with memoir writers to get the best possible read from them of their work, and then produce that recording into an edited mastered audiobook. After working in public radio for more than 30 years I now work independently with writers who want to narrate their own audiobook. I’ve worked with people at all levels of recording experience, from broadcast professionals to people who have never sat in front of a microphone.

But it’s so much more... As a seasoned director, I listen and coach as you record catching mistakes and guiding you for intonation and inflection, word emphasis, and overall flow. At the end of recording I take care of all editing, fixing mistakes from along the way. I also handle all the technical specs and mastering required for every audiobook, advise on a distribution platform and guide you through file upload and distribution process. All for an expertly produced, professional audiobook, handcrafted for you.
